The San Francisco Psychoanalytic Society and Institute is a facility for psychoanalytic research, training, and education located on 2420 Sutter St. in San Francisco, California. The society was founded in 1942 as ''California Psychoanalytic Society'', and later split into the San Francisco and Los Angeles societies. A number of internationally known analysts, such as, Otto Fenichel, Robert S. Wallerstein, and Ralph Greenson. Both Erik Erikson and J. Robert Oppenheimer were associated with the institute as ''lay'' members. ==See also==
